I need help on how to sew a Stretch Stich for Stretch Fabric with my moms Vintage Bernina 740 Favorite sewing machine?
Can you help please, I can’t seam to find instructions in her machines manual.
Probably the best stitch for stretch with most machines of this era is the zig zag stitch. Most don’t have the kind of stretch stitch that contemporary machines might. Another thing you could try for stretch is a double needle. It takes some getting used to but it looks so nice and can be used on most machines.
